“Take me to the magic of the moment on a glory night” – Scorpions.
I was little more than a Northern Irish 9 year old when the Berlin Wall waved its goodbyes to an unwanted border in 1989 and this world, my world, your world changed forever. As time progressed, I studied Soviet politics, Northern Irish football and global marketing. Somehow I ended up in Warsaw in 2005 on a lunatical journey…
I backpacked the world a few times over after that until an unforeseen incident from a dishonest person led to my unexpected stay in Poland, which in turn led to this website’s spontaneous formation in 2016. I then started doing “reader polls” every month as depression kicked in. I never lost my heart for writing…
Life became so busy that the Poland Polls were over before I knew it, and the most recent Poll ended in a DRAW without me even noticing the Poll had ended. So, in my honest mind, this means I must do BOTH the winners of the poll as I hate liars and not doing as you say, they were joint on 13 votes in a low voting month (only 34 votes!!!). These won:
1.Host and organise a Saint Patrick’s Day in Warsaw (Dzień Świętego Patryka) event for my readers.
2.Visit the Vodka Museum in Warsaw.
Here is how the votes happened:
So I am doing both and therefore cancelling my April Poland Poll as I am playing catch up and will be touring the VODKA MUSEUM also in April with the famous Julia and Rafał. Instead, come and join me for a drink TOMORROW! Sorry for the late notice…
Here’s the invite. Seats are NOT guaranteed, neither is a Guinness…but I would love to see some readers or followers join the party!:
Last year’s party was brilliant!
Czesc everyone! So you might have heard that the venue (Molly Malone’s) Molly Malone’s Irish Pub don’t do reservations for tables on that day (and that last year I had to get there at 14.00 just to try and hold the table in Irlandzki Pub). BUT the good news is, I will go in early and try my best to keep a table with my flags etc. I have full menu and drinks details – NO promotions on, BUT a free hat if you buy 4 Guinnesses. Food menu is available all day. And finally Bournemouth v. West Brom is on at 16.00, live from my laptop, so please get there early, wear green and be ready for another Irish party!! #tourist #dzienswietegopatryka
If you want to attend, please just tell me on the Facebook Page!
See you all tomorrow. Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!
